Murarka College, Sultanganj, with its glorious legacy since 1955, continues to play a vital role in spreading higher education across rural Bihar. To meet the challenges of the 21st century and to fulfil its vision of academic excellence, social responsibility, and holistic student development, the college has laid down the following strategic and prospective plan:
Academic Excellence
- Introduction of new undergraduate and postgraduate programs in emerging fields.
- Regular revision of curriculum in alignment with UGC guidelines and industry requirements.
- Promotion of interdisciplinary and skill-based courses to enhance employability.
- Encouragement of ICT-enabled teaching-learning methods such as smart classrooms, e-content, and virtual labs.
Research and Innovation
- Establishment of a Research and Development Cell to foster academic research.
- Collaboration with universities, industries, and research organizations for joint projects and publications.
- Organization of seminars, workshops, and conferences to encourage knowledge sharing.
Student Development & Support
- Strengthening NSS and NCC activities to promote discipline, leadership, and social responsibility.
- Career counselling and placement support through a Career Guidance & Training Cell.
- Expansion of sports and cultural activities to ensure all-round development.
- Special mentoring and remedial classes for academically weaker and first-generation learners.
Infrastructure Growth
- Expansion of classrooms and laboratories with modern equipment.
- Development of a digital library with access to e-journals, e-books, and databases.
- Upgradation of campus with Wi-Fi facilities, solar energy, and eco-friendly practices.
- Strengthening of hostel, canteen, and other student amenities.
Community Engagement
- Launch of extension activities to address local issues such as health, environment, and literacy.
- Establishment of partnerships with NGOs and government agencies for community development programs.
- Encouragement of environmental awareness campaigns focusing on the Ganga river basin and rural areas.
Governance & Quality Assurance
- Implementation of transparent, participatory governance practices.
- Continuous monitoring and evaluation through the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC).
- Preparation for NAAC accreditation/re-accreditation with focus on quality benchmarks.
