Library Rules
The Murarka College Library serves as a vital resource center for students, faculty, and researchers. To ensure a smooth and efficient service for all users, the following rules and regulations must be observed:
- All members of the college (students, faculty, and staff) are entitled to use the library facilities.
- Library membership is mandatory for borrowing books and using certain services.
- Users must carry their Library/College ID card when visiting the library.
- Personal belongings such as bags, eatables, and water bottles are not allowed inside the library.
- Complete silence and discipline must be maintained within the library premises.
- Mobile phones should be switched off or kept on silent mode inside the library.
- Users are expected to handle books, journals, and furniture with care. Damaging library property will lead to penalties.
- Books will be issued only on presentation of a valid Library/College ID card.
- Each student may borrow a limited number of books at a time, as determined by library policy.
- Books are issued for a specific loan period (usually 14 days). Renewal may be allowed if there is no prior demand.
- A fine will be charged for overdue books as per college rules.
- In case of loss or damage to a book, the borrower must replace it or pay the current cost plus a processing fee.
- Reference books, rare materials, journals, and periodicals are to be used within the library only.
